MEETING MINUTES January 17, 2007

Diann K. called our meeting to order at the Redeemer United Methodist Church 10:55am.
Members Present: 32 members, 2 guests
Pledge of Allegiance:

Minutes: November 2006 minutes approved.
Treasurer’s report: Alice M. reported our bank balance was $3,796.09
Unfinished Business:
1. Thank you to Nancy M. for the Christmas Party and luncheon.
2. Diane D said that we collected 75 lbs of food and toys for Share Net in December.
3. Next month Sharon M. will be a co-hostess and Alice M, Nancy M. and Noel L. will bring door prizes.
4. Plant Sale: Sandi gave a summary report
5. Fieldtrips – Gwen W. spoke about the May trip to Vancouver and asked for sign-ups. Please contact her if you are interested
New Business:
Noel spoke about Tupperware as a way to raise funds for the group. If interested contact her.
Design of the Day: Carol M. brought forsythia. She requested that if someone could not take their month for Design of the Day…please trade or find a substitute.
Show & Tell: Noel brought 4 different winter colored foliage heaths and heathers. (George Hunt, Celebration, Golden Starlet, Sesam and Braerick) and spoke about Heaths and Heathers, a nursery near Shelton.
Door Prizes: Haifa E, Jerrianne H, Norma T
Announcements: Nancy M. presented Downtown Kingston Posters. They are for sale for $15 and benefit revitalization.
Stillwaters will have a class on 1/23, Tuesday evening, on The Winter Garden.
Community Beautification will be 3/31/07. Come to clean up and weed.
February Meeting: 2/21/07: Jan Bahr of Roadhouse Nursery in Poulsbo will talk about water features for the garden.
The meeting adjourned at 11:55.
