GARDEN CLUB
MEETING MINUTES November 16, 2005
 
President Annika M called our meeting to order at the Redeemer Methodist Church at 9:30am.
Thirty five members were present.
Hostesses for the day: Laurie Y, Noel L and Elaine J. 
Thank you Carol M for being Hostess Coordinator.
Hospitality:  No guests today
Design of the Day:  Adele S made her presentation of a wreath making demonstration.
Treasurer’s report:  Alice M reported our bank balance was $4577.99.
Unfinished Business: None
New Business: 
Diane C, our co-chair of the charity committee moved that we donate $200. to the Kingston Food Bank and $200. to Share Net.  Alice M seconded the motion.  Motion passed unanimously.
The Kingston Food Bank is open Wed and Fri. from 12-3  (VFW Hall) and Share Net is open Tues and Fri. from 9-12.  (25992 Barbour Cutoff)  Fresh items needed for the holidays.
Elaine J reported for the sunshine committee of members who received or would receive cards expressing our concerns.
Noel L reported that she would be emailing meeting minutes and the newsletter separately.  This avoids cumbersome emails.  Members assented ok.  She also asked for email updates.
Carol M reported that The Christmas Luncheon would be Thursday 12/15/05 at 11:30. 
Social Hour at 11am.  It will be at the Redeemer Church and catered for an $8.50 charge. There will be music.  Please bring an unwrapped for a child and wrapping paper for the food bank.
Ann W reported for Linda M on the May Plant Sale.
Heidi of Dragonfly donated many plants which have been/need to be potted for the plant sale.  Potting supplies available at Linda M’s.  Please don’t drive on the grass.
Motion: Cathy M moved to amend 5(i) of Policy and Procedures to read: “Programs:  shall schedule programs for the year.”

Ann I passed out a sign up for wreath making on 12/5 at Bainbridge Gardens.
Laurie Y has a gentleman that does Plant removal.
Please bring $1. for coffee supplies for the year.
