May Plant Sale

 

When:  Saturday before Mother's Day weekend 

This year.....May 2nd, 2009  9 am - 2 pm

Where:   Community Center in Kingston

Why:  Profits are used for the Blanche Gray garden shows at Gordon and Wolfle Elementary Schools, Aloha Wright Grants for community beautification and school and community garden related projects, educational assistance, local food banks and other community activities.

Who:  Anyone can buy who has a love of plants.

What:  Plants are priced from $1.00 and up.  Houseplants, perennials for shade and sun, groundcovers, annuals, shrubs and trees, vegetable and bulbs of all kinds are available at the sale.

Hundreds of plants come from the yards of the Kingston Garden Club Members, donations from area nurseries and donations of local residents.

Raffle Tickets are sold with plants, garden items and gift certificates from various local nurseries and businesses as prizes.

These businesses have generously donated products to raffle off at the Plant Sale:

Valley Nursery, Savage Plants, Dragonfly Farms Nursery , Foxglove Greenhouses, Kingston's Henery's Do-It Best Hardware, Sacks Feed and Garden, Bainbridge Gardens, Liberty Bay Books, Bloedel Reserve, Poulsbo Central Market, Bloedel Reserve, Labyrinth Hill, Wild Birds in Poulsbo, A & L Topsoil, and donations from Garden Club members.
